The facility is operated on a 24/7 basis – essential for managing large projects requiring high volume edit prep/digitising.
This is also achieved utilising our fully networked environment, that allows the added flexibility of multi-suite parallel working, and ensures the most efficient post production workflows. This means significant time – and therefore cost – savings on every project.
We offer the full range of Avid editing options including Avid DS Nitris, Avid Symphony Nitris HD as well as Protools based dubbing theatres equipped for 5.1 surround mixing. Our finishing area is complemented by a grading department, based around the Da Vinci 2K HD grading platform – the only one in the UK outside London.
For high end finishing we also offer HDCAM SR facilities as well as Dolby E encoding for 5.1 audio delivery meeting all international broadcasters HD delivery specifications.
Our in house graphics team has a pedigree in broadcast title design and branding – offering compositing, 3D and HD graphics.
The facility has a strong in house engineering support team which is fully qualified to Avid ACSR standard.
Client care is central to our philosophy and we aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our clients. We have a team of over 20 facility runners to help feed & water clients and look out for the infamous Sumners Cake Trolley making an appearance morning and afternoon. We also offer free Indian head message and aromatherapy on site twice a week.
We also offer remote review and approval via our web based ‘Sumners Preview Theatre’ facility. This allows our clients to keep abreast of their project's progress wherever they are in the world (even London) !
