Trexx & Flipside Posts at Sumners
Sumners have completed the entire post production on their latest HD project for BBC3. Produced by Hanrahan Media for the BBC, Trexx and Flipside is a comedy drama about two wannbee hip hop stars ; it utilised production office accommodation and studio facilities at the Pie Factory studios, as well as full post production services from Sumners.
Sumners Upgrades to DX
We have recently invested in 3 new Avid Symphony Nitris DX sytems to upgrade our HD finishing suites. These are the latest machines to be released by Avid Technology and enable collaborative working for HD projects, by working across our recently upgraded Avid Unity Media Network. The 3 latest additions compliment our existing Symphony Nitris offering – taking our HD Symphony suites up to 4. This is in addition to our HD DS Nitris finishing suite.
Sumners help advance technology in the Den!
We are working closely with BBC R&D to trial the Ingex File based workflow technology on Dragon’s Den Series 6. The Ingex system is being used to capture the 5 live feeds from the Den at both offline and online quality. The Sumners team then project manage the whole file based post production that only sees a tape at delivery stage.
Spooky goings on
Antix Productions commissioned Sumners to create the brand identity for their new venture, The Paranormal Channel. The idents included live action elements directed at MediaCityUK Studios (The Pie Factory) by Lynn Tydsey. Animation, effects and compositing were created by Anthony Scott and Al O'Brien. Suitably unsettling audio effects were then added by Heidi Stiene. The Paranormal Channel is on Sky Channel 212.
